Today is my Father-in-law's birthday. So we will be hanging out there today.
This weeks starts a shift change at work. I will be working more at night. Not the first choice I would make, but hey, I still have a job, and for that I am thankful.
I have to share with you something amazing that happened to us a few weeks ago. Shanon and I have been talking and praying about us buying our first home. Shanon finally called a mortgage worker in Florida. She was very nice, and went over our credit, highlighted a bunch of things that we needed to take care of. (I wish I wasn't such a dumb kid.)
Its hard facing things like this. Especially when your income really is just getting you by at the moment. Anyway, we both were kind of down, because we knew that coming up with the money to pay off all that old debt was going to take forever.
So we started to pray. We just kinda said, God, we feel you calling us back to Florida. We know that for sure. If we have to rent for a few more years, so be it.
A few days later, we got a letter from the State of Michigan, saying that there had been a big mistake concerning Jaylen's benefits. The letter also went on to say that they were sending us a check for the monthly mistake that had been happening since June of 2006!
That's when we saw the amount. It was literally $45 more than the entire sum of debt that we needed to pay off. Wow.
When God guides, he provides.
We can hardly wait to go back home to Florida. We can hardly wait to see all of our friends again. We can hardly wait to be homeowners! That still even sounds weird! LOL
Hope everyone has a great week!

We met with our current adoption worker today. He says he is submitting the final paperwork in the morning, and Everything should be done next week!
That is like music to our ears! Just another loose end tied up for our transition out of here.
Only 5 million to go...LOL

Ahhhh spring is finally here. I got to cut the grass this week! (For those of you who don't know, I have developed a new obsession with lawn care.)
This weekend has been nice. Friday night, I took my Mom to a Mother Son banquet at her church. It was a good time. (I think my mom just likes showing off her "big" baby to all of her friends, which then ironically, they call my Darrell. My older brother.) It's like I never existed.
Tomorrow will be a bitter/sweet day for Shanon and her mom Sharon. This is the first year since Grandma Robinson passed away. Please pray for them tomorrow.
The kids are doing well. Cameron is talking way more. Its as if his vocabulary has doubled in the last few weeks. Jaylen is doing fine. He is also completely potty trained now. Cameron is just behind him. He's in underwear about 80% of the time. So it wont be long, until we can toss the diapers for good! Hmmm, maybe we will burn them....LOL
Larkyn and Alex are both doing well in School. Larkyn is really enjoying her DVD cirriculum that she started this year. She is currently working on making a homeade book of animals as a science project. She is doing a great job!
Other than that, just taking it day by day, and watching the countdown, waiting patiently. well at least most of the time!
